Microsoft 365

Every part of your Microsoft 365 tenant

From a single mailbox that will not sync to a full tenant rebuild, we work across the whole Microsoft 365 stack.

Outlook & Exchange Online

Mailbox setup, shared and resource mailboxes, distribution lists, aliases, send-as permissions, calendar sharing, and fixing send, receive and sync failures.

Microsoft Teams

Teams and channel structure, guest access, meeting and calling setup, phone system configuration, and resolving audio, video and sign-in problems.

SharePoint & OneDrive

Site and library structure, permissions that actually make sense, file sync troubleshooting, version recovery, and moving shared drives into the cloud.

Entra ID & identity

User and group management, multi-factor authentication, conditional access, single sign-on, password policies, and joiner-mover-leaver processes.

Intune & device management

Enrolling laptops and phones, baseline security policies, app deployment, Windows Autopilot for new starters, and wiping lost or stolen devices.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Installation and activation across devices, licence assignment, add-in conflicts, file corruption and recovery, and templates for your team.

Migrations

Move to Microsoft 365 without losing a day

We plan migrations around your working hours, keep mail flowing throughout, and stay on hand afterwards while everyone settles in.

1

Google Workspace

Gmail, Drive, Calendar and Contacts moved across with folder structure and sharing preserved.

2

POP / IMAP mail

Old hosted mailboxes, cPanel or ISP email consolidated into Exchange Online with history intact.

3

On-premises Exchange

Cutover or staged migration from a server in your office, including public folders.

4

Tenant to tenant

Mergers, rebrands and splits, with domains and identities moved between tenants.

Security & Continuity

Lock the tenant down properly

Most Microsoft 365 breaches come down to a missing setting rather than anything exotic. We close the common gaps.

MFA & conditional access

Multi-factor authentication rolled out across the organisation, with sensible policies for location, device state and legacy protocols.

Email threat protection

Anti-phishing and anti-spoofing rules, safe links and attachments, plus SPF, DKIM and DMARC records so your mail is trusted and harder to forge.

Backup & recovery

Third-party backup for mail, SharePoint and OneDrive, retention policies, and tested recovery so a deleted folder is not a crisis.

A note on the built-in retention: Microsoft 365 protects the service, not your data decisions. If a user permanently deletes a folder, or a mailbox is removed and the retention window passes, that content can be gone for good. We set up independent backup so recovery does not depend on catching the mistake in time.

Cloud Services

The rest of your cloud, handled too

Domains & DNS

Domain transfers, DNS records, mail routing and certificate renewals, so nothing breaks quietly in the background.

Licensing review

An honest look at what you are paying for. Unused seats, duplicate subscriptions and the wrong plan tier are extremely common.

Printers & scan-to-email

Office printers reconnected to cloud mail after a migration, including the scan-to-email setups that usually break first.

Copilot & AI

Getting ready for Microsoft 365 Copilot

Copilot answers questions using whatever your staff already have access to. That makes tenant hygiene the deciding factor between a useful rollout and an expensive one.

Fix oversharing first

In most tenants a surprising number of files are shared far wider than anyone intended. We audit SharePoint and OneDrive permissions and tighten them before Copilot can surface the wrong document to the wrong person.

Clean up the content

Copilot is only as good as what it reads. Duplicate drives, abandoned sites and years of stale files produce confident but wrong answers, so we help you retire what should not be in scope.

Licence the right people

Copilot is a per-user add-on and it is not cheap. We help you work out who will genuinely use it, start with a smaller group, and review real usage before you commit the whole company.

Not sure whether you are ready? A discovery call is usually enough for us to tell you what would need fixing first, and roughly what that involves. If your tenant is not in shape for Copilot yet, we would rather say so than sell you licences that disappoint.

Windows 10 → Windows 11

Still running Windows 10? It stopped getting security updates

Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. Machines still running it no longer receive security patches, and the paid Extended Security Updates programme was only ever a short bridge — not a long-term plan.

We audit what you have

Most businesses do not know exactly which machines are still on Windows 10. We inventory every PC, check which ones meet the Windows 11 requirements, and tell you plainly which can upgrade and which cannot.

Upgrade in place where possible

If the hardware supports it, the upgrade keeps your files, applications and settings. We run these outside working hours and check each machine afterwards so nobody loses a morning to it.

Honest advice on the rest

Some machines genuinely cannot run Windows 11, usually because of TPM 2.0 or an unsupported processor. We will say so rather than sell you a workaround, and help you plan replacements over a sensible timeframe.

Why this matters beyond the pop-ups: an unpatched operating system is increasingly a problem for cyber-insurance renewals and for any client or contract that asks about your security posture. It is usually cheaper to plan the upgrade than to answer questions about it later.

Outlook

Outlook problems, sorted properly

Email is where most support calls start. Whether it is one mailbox misbehaving or the whole company moving across, we fix the cause rather than rebuilding the profile and hoping.

Send & receive failures

Stuck outboxes, sync errors, mail that arrives on the phone but not the desktop, and the password prompt that keeps reappearing.

PST files & archives

Old local PST archives found on a leaving employee’s laptop, imported properly into the cloud so the history is searchable and backed up.

Classic to new Outlook

Moving people to the new Outlook without losing signatures, rules, shared mailboxes or the add-ins your team actually depends on.

Shared & delegate access

Shared mailboxes, calendar permissions, send-as and send-on-behalf set up the right way instead of everyone sharing one login.

Microsoft 365 FAQ

Questions we get asked most

No. 1800GEEK is a brand of Geek Of States LLC, an independent IT support company listed in the Microsoft Partner directory under that company name. We are not Microsoft, we do not speak for Microsoft, and we are not Microsoft support. Microsoft, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation.

That is what we plan around. Mail keeps flowing during the move, and we schedule the cutover for evenings or weekends so your team starts the next working day on the new system.

You can buy licences directly from Microsoft and we will work in your tenant, or we can advise on which plan actually fits so you are not paying for features nobody uses. Our support fee is always separate from Microsoft licence costs.

Yes. Existing mail, folder structure, contacts and calendars come across as part of the migration. We confirm what is transferring before starting and check it together afterwards.

An administrator account that you create and control, and that you can revoke at any time. We never ask individual users for their passwords. See our Trust & Safety page for how we work.

Yes. Before licensing Copilot we check the things that actually determine whether it works well: file sharing permissions, stale content, and who genuinely needs it. Starting with a small group and reviewing real usage is usually cheaper than licensing everyone on day one.

Microsoft stopped issuing security updates for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. Paid Extended Security Updates were offered as a temporary bridge, but they were never intended as a lasting option. Machines can still switch on and work, but they stop receiving fixes for newly discovered vulnerabilities, which is increasingly raised at cyber-insurance renewal. We can audit your PCs and tell you which ones upgrade cleanly.

An in-place upgrade keeps files, applications and settings. We still take a backup first, run the upgrade outside working hours, and check each machine before handing it back. If a PC cannot run Windows 11 we tell you rather than forcing it.

Yes. Microsoft 365 runs across Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, and we set up and troubleshoot mail, Teams and file access on all of them.
